Steamboat is one of the largest ski resorts in Colorado with 2,965 acresl. The terrain is spread across six peaks, providing a variety of aspects. Steamboat ski resort is serviced by 18 lifts which includes a gondola and 6 high speed chairlifts.

The whole resort is below the tree line so there are no alpine bowls or cornices and only a couple of chutes, but the tree skiing is rave worthy. Tree lined groomers and moguls make up the rest of the terrain, as well as an impressive terrain park and superpipe.

Skiing Steamboat’s glades on a powder day is a bucket-list experience: forgiving pitches complement this mountain’s ultralight snow, and perfectly spaced aspens and spruces with hoarfrost. With many tree runs spanning 1,900 vertical feet, Steamboat’s arboreal nirvana lasts a gratifyingly long time – except on the steeps, which are short but feature enough to challenge experts. The area’s other claim to fame is is its plethora of intermediate groomed runs. Unintimidating terrain, plus an emphasis on kid-friendly entertainment, explains this resort’s popularity with families.

Accommodations are in the ski-in/ski-out Torian Plum Condominiums, located along the snow melted promenade at the base area, which lends itself to easy walking access to nearby shops and restaurants in the Plaza. Gondola Square is also a short walking distance away.

The condos are complemented with hotel-style amenities such as an outdoor heated swimming pool, outdoor hot tubs with slope-facing views, indoor hot tubs and sauna state-of-the-art fitness center, elevators, guest computers and on-site ATM. There is a shuttle service that can take you anywhere you’d like to explore in Steamboat Springs.
