Vin de Pays Catalan Dominis M Chateau la Casenove 2001
The estate of Domaine de la Casenove is located at the base of Mt. Canigou near Apres, about 12 kilometers from Perpignan. Etienne Montes harvests grapes at the peak of maturity and produces concentrated, fuller bodied wines that reatin great clairity. Carefully selected Grenache and Carignan grapes are the basis of this immediately pleasing wine. The wine has wonderfully extracted medium bodied red fruit flavor, smooth and supple on the palate and clean and exuberant in its youth.
Cotes-du-Rhone Cuvee La Friande Domaine Jaume 2001
The Jaume family owns 50 hectares of well-exposed vineyard where the Grenache fruit performs as its best because of ideal microclimatic conditions and the limestone-rich soil of Vinsobres. A delicious blend of Grenache (85%) and Syrah (10%) with a splach of Mourvedre and Carignane, this wine offers ripe, juicy fruit flavors with rich spices and a lush, meaty finish. As full-bodied as this cuvee has ever been in recent vintages.

Alsace Cotes de Wettolsheim Edelzwicker Domaine Barmes-Buecher 2000
As an expression of the terrior of Wettolsheim this proprietal blend of pinot blanc and sylvaner (with hints of riesling, gewurtztraminer and chasselas) has all the firm, perfumed character of Francoise and Genevieve Barmes' vineyard designatd wines. Vibrant aromas of lime blossom and apples are propelled by nervy acidity and a lengthy mineral finish. Excellent with shellfish and soft-rippened cheeses.
Entre-Eeux-Mers Chateau Turcaud 2001
Transparently clean, perfumed and bright Sauvignon Blanc is blended with Semillon and just a splash of Muscadelle to make this delicious, refined whtie Bordeaux wine. Thirteen hectares of vins grown on siliceous-gravelly soil, give excellent grapes of remarkable structure and complexity. Vinified at low temperature in stainless steel vats, this is wine to be drunk young, as a refreshingly delicious apertif, or with seafood and vegetables.
