Ski 2 days. We are looking forward to going back for the fifth time to the Hartness House, Vermont's historic inn, originally the home of James Hartness, inventor, astronomer and governor of Vermont in 1920. Located in Springfield, VT minutes off I-91, we have always enjoyed the Victorian atmosphere of the original house. The sitting areas with window seats, couches, fireplaces and bar offer comfortable areas for us to gather. The innkeepers keep up the festive holiday garlands and trees for us to enjoy in January. We have changed our split trip this year and plan to ski Stratton Mountain on Saturday and Okemo on Sunday. The chef will prepare one dinner and two breakfasts buffet for us. A $170 depost per person holds your reservation.
